Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter will work in a human trafficking task force to bring awareness of a growing problem in Missouri . According to the National Human Trafficking Resource Center, 1,230 calls have been made since 2007. That is two times more than the calls received in Arkansas since then. The most recent case in Region 8 was reported in May . It was when Amber Nicole Johnson, 28, of Wynne was accused of forcing two girls, ages 14 and 17, into performing sexual acts for money.
